Autocad :

Yeap! this is another software that is being used widely in any construction project..
basically this software is used to draw any floor plan, schematic diagram or any drawings at all that involves scaling, precision or details...But unfortunately it requires license n i couldnt copy the software in my thumbdrive.. :( Credits to my Mom for sharing some of her Autocad skills to me!~ thx Mum!

Autocad PC abang Yusof

Photocopying :
Huhuhu..I didnt know photocopying machine is so much fun until i get a chance to put my hands on it! I can face that machine for the whole day and still having fun :P
i wonder what it feels to photocopy part of my body..hurm..

Engineering Instruction, Reply letter, Filing:
Wow..i never know filing is so important..they actually serve as proof when there are any issues raised by the client/consultant..meeahahaha..procedure..procedure..
so many things to learn..a letter requires so many particulars and details before it is able to be sent out..

Files files..

Slow computer and full of errors..
ARRGGhhh!!
it is driving me crazy!!!!!!!!@!@#!@#!!
Every 5 mins i will have to restart my pc..
I told my boss...and she replied,"later haaa...later haaa..."..

A start in MS ICT Solution~

Hello and a very good day I bid to my beloved readers,

I'm thrilled and excited to start a day in the corporate world and use all the skills I've obtained in my 3 years of studies in UNITEN and apply them in my practical training...

Just some basic background of my job here, I am required to actually lead a simple project. The tender project they recently won from other big-shots is to actually build a security system consists of 500 units of different types of CCTV. I joined them as an assistant engineer and I would have to lead the sub-contractor. The job site is in KL.

First day : I came early to the office considering to make a good impression to my boss and to actually secure a parking space in front of the office..I woke up as early as 6.30 a.m and as usual, add another 5 mins delay in the process of waking up. I left home at 7 and arrived in the office at 7.30 a.m.

This is the picture of my office..hehe..

I'm transferred to ICT dept from MSEL since the project they handling are very related to my course. I've met a lot of senior engineers there.
My job for the first day is to calculate the power consumption for the camera used and also the devices in the control room for the shopping mall.

It was quite challenging because I need to browse through the "BIBBLE" before proceed to do anything. I need to look at the drawings of the site, the forms (RFI's) , letters, contract, and everything related to the project. Luckily they give me time to absorb all those material, maybe because i have never been exposed to these things before.

Well, after calculating the power consumption, voltage and all, i need to send a letter to TDC consultant for them to check my calculations. I'm worried, I dont wanna screw this up~!
Anyways, the GM, looked through the letter i typed and put her initial on it, that means it has been checked..right? so no worries..hehe..

and 5 mins before lunch today we recieved a call from the front desk..a conference call to be precise, saying the word ,"DBKL", and immediately hang up..she sound so calm and normal~!
after that instant, everyone in the office rushed down to their own vehicle, some have to repark, some remove, and some queued up to pay the parking fee..It was so funny!!

Second day,
same routine, early morning secure a place and then work.
today i learned about Variation Order (VO) the reply to Engineer's Instruction (E.I) to actually let them know we are charging them extra for any additional items they request..
Again I need to open the "BIBBLE" and search for the cost breakdown for all the items and enter te details in a new table and compile..again not an easy task..The english used are superb..I changed and retyped my letter 3 times because of the format and the reference number as well as the content of my letter.
It took me almost half a day to re-do this simple yet challenging task..hehe..

After lunch, the GM stopped by for a moment to have a short meeting with someone..huhu..
and because she is busy, and the parking there sucks, therefore many people are forced to double-park in the office area. She asked me to help to re-park her Honda Civic today as she was too caught up with the meeting..yeahhooo!!~

My workplace~!!

Tired but happy!

Everytime at 5.30 pm i supposed to go back, but i feel kinda guilty for leaving the rest there because they are still working and they will continue normally till 7 or 8..haha..usually i will stay till 6 or 6.30 pm..then, im off!! i envy some of my frenz that are able to leave the office as early as 2 PM@@! (if u know who im talking about)..hehe..but they dun recieve any pay/ allowance by the end of every month ^o^!! :P

That's it i guess for tonight..tired laaa~!!
